Welcome. This website is here to inform you of what is going on in your local area, and what the Redlands Residents Association do. Use the links to the left to navigate around the website! Note from the Chairman: The RRA is a non-profit making organisation serving the needs of the residents of the roads in the Brittains Lane and Redlands Road area of Sevenoaks, Kent, which is the garden county of the United Kingdom. We hope this information is of interest to you. Click here to see Aerial Views of the area taken 26th May 2007. *** NEWS UPDATE **** Cllr Avril Hunter of Sevenoaks District Council has written to advise that Brittains Lane will be resurfaced from London Road up to Oak Lane. The planned start date is the 27th July. *** Residents are campaigning for the kerb and pavements to be repaired in the section of Brittains Lane from Number 71 to 85. This affects many Middlings residents walking to the station and school buses. Please lend suport by reporting this to KCC. This narrow part of Brittains Lane is where the Association have been trying to get Road Safety improvements for many years. In 1980 Sevenoaks District Council had a plan in place to widen the road here and add a pavement on the other side of the road. Simply reinstating the kerb height or introducing safety kerbs to stop cars driving onto the pavement will be a great safety improvment.
Kent County Council are responsible for maintaining our street lights and roads etc. You can report faults online by following this link. Highway Fault Report *** The next AGM is due. Nominations are required for the post of Chairman - Philip Runacres will be standing down as Chairman at the AGM. Summer 2009: Collections of Subscriptions will be taking place shortly. *** July 2008: No. 85 Brittains Lane has been granted permission to demolish and rebuild. For details of the decision CLICK HERE. February 2009 construction has started.
The information about the Parking Consultation exercise is now located on its own web page accessed via the menu. You can download our submission via this page.
